Beans Cat Cafe in Beacon & New Paltz

The Brooklyn Cat Cafe is not only a unique cat cafe, it is also an adoption center and community space. Located on Montague Street in Brooklyn, a 20-minute walk from the famous DUMBO Manhattan Bridge View, this cafe is really worth a visit.

One important thing to say about this is that it was a rescue and adoption center for homeless animals in New York City in 2007, before also becoming a cafe and the headquarters of Brooklyn Heights in 2016.

They’ve rescued over 7,000 cats since opening. It doesn’t take much to make you want to head to this cafe to celebrate.

Brooklyn Cat Cafe is located in an old building with exposed wooden beams and offers tea, coffee and snacks. You can easily spend hours in this beautiful place.

Buckminster’s Cat Cafe in Buffalo

Named after the owner’s own cat, Buckminster’s Cat Cafe in Buffalo partners with the Second Chance Sheltering Network to offer a home for adoptable cats.

The space is divided into a cafe area and a cat zone, separated by a glass wall. You can choose to interact with the cats or simply observe them while enjoying your food and drinks (locally-roasted coffee, craft beer, wine, and a selection of snacks, including vegan and gluten-free options).

Buckminster’s hosts a variety of activities, including art classes and cat-themed events, and has successfully facilitated the adoption of hundreds of cats​

Catpurrccinos in Huntington

Catpurrccinos Cat Cafe in Huntington opened on December 1, 2019. This charming cafe is the brainchild of Brittany Oliva and her fiancé, Christopher Cafiero, who also run the Feral to Family Cat Rescue. The cafe’s mission is to support their rescue efforts by providing a delightful space where you can enjoy coffee and snacks while spending time with adoptable cats.

There is a separate cat room that ensures a clean and comfortable environment for both guests and cats. It has a dedicated ventilation system and a large glass window, allowing you to observe the cats if you prefer not to enter the cat area directly.

Additionally, the cafe offers a livestream of the cats for remote viewing.

The proceeds from the cafe help fund essential rescue operations, including veterinary care and TNR (trap-neuter-return) programs to manage the feral cat population on Long Island

Located near Syracuse University’s campus, it offers a unique blend of Midwestern and Japanese cuisine, inspired by owner Josh Davis’s experiences in Japan.

The cafe features a cozy cat lounge where visitors can interact with adoptable cats from the Central New York Cat Coalition.
