If you’re looking for the best seafood restaurant in Port de Sóller, look no further. Só Caprichos came highly recommended by my cousin, a current resident of Port de Sóller.
Exceptional food? Check. A restaurant with a view? Absolutely.
But the icing on the cake? The place is brimming with friendly cats!
Só Caprichos – Cats are stealing the show at Port de Sóller’s premier seafood restaurant!
“Friendly seafront restaurant complete with cats!” wrote a happy customer about Só Caprichos on TripAdvisor.
“Nice food, shame about the cats,” wrote an unhappy one.
If you love cats, that’s all the reason you need to visit Só Caprichos in Port de Sóller.
When you reach the outdoor dining area, a lively group of cats will greet you. They have made the restaurant their second home and interact with everyone who visits.
A local told Traveling Cats, “The cats don’t belong to the restaurant, but they love hanging out here.”
“The two long-haired black cats are mother and daughter. The mom’s name is Irma. She’s the boss here,” one of the locals explained.
A playful, noisy cat usually hangs out downstairs. It often gets into friendly—or not-so-friendly—scuffles with the other cats in the neighborhood.
Locals call him “the crazy one.” He definitely adds lively (or rather loud) touch to your meal.
Tigre holds the title of being the oldest cat in the neighborhood. While he may be missing several teeth, his adorable personality makes up for it.
Tigre is a beloved figure among the restaurant’s regulars.
Sometimes, you can also find him sleeping on a chair on the terrace of the nearby restaurant Kingfisher.
“My daughter adores the Tuxedo cat and calls him ‘the visitor’ because each time we are in Port de Sóller, this cat visits us,” a passing tourist told me.
When an older man passed the restaurant, all the cats followed him up the alley. He was probably their “can opener.”
And, indeed, it turned out these cats actually live a little bit further up, in the Carrer de Santa Apollonia.
So, if you don’t find the cats near the seafood restaurant Só Caprichos, it means they are probably napping next to their homes.

By the way, did you know that two real adventure cats live right next to the restaurant Só Caprichos?
The names of these two Persian rescue cats are Gizmo and Bacardi. They love to take the plane, and they follow their human, Jeannine, on all her travels.
However, if you’re hoping to meet Gizmo and Bacardi in person, you’re out of luck because these are indoor cats who prefer to remain behind the scenes.
