Havana, Cuba

The cats in these photos find solace and comfort in the lively city of Havana, the capital city of Cuba. Because of the lack of strict spaying and neutering programs, which lead to uncontrolled breeding among the cat population, the number of stray cats in Havana is notable. Also contributing to the presence of stray cats are the limited resources and infrastructure for animal welfare organizations, economic challenges faced by some residents, and the transient nature of some neighborhoods.

Indianapolis, USA

Meet Odie and Bandit. They are from Indianapolis, Indiana, and are kitty rockstars. They are the main characters of the books Odie the Stray Kitten and Odie’s Best Friend, both by Kristen Mott.
Odie The Stray Kitten is the heartwarming true story of a cat who loses its family on a cold winter night and finds a new forever home in a barn. Odie’s Best Friend is the adoption story of Odie’s buddy, Bandit. The two books would make perfect Christmas gifts for children.

Perryville, USA

This kitty was part of the Battle of Perryville Commemoration in Kentucky. The Perryville Battlefield on October 8, 1862, was the site of the bloodiest Civil War Battle fought in Kentucky. Each year, thousands of guests visit Perryville to watch a re-enactment of that clash. There are history encampments, lecture series, antique and vendor tents, a commemoration parade, ghost tours, authentic meals over an open fire, flea markets, food festivals, and street performances.
